The dark has always been the place where people hide. The Internet has dark corners, too. The Dark Web is the underbelly of the Internet. This is where people can find encrypted websites that allow them to be anonymous. But not all Internet users can remain down below. Sometimes they need to get on sites like YouTube and Facebook. When they need to come up to the surface, they use anonymity VPNs.
The Dark Web
The Dark Web is the sum of all the hidden websites on the Internet. They are hidden because they are highly encrypted. These sites are where people who want to remain anonymous go. You will not find them via Google search. And you will not know anyone there, at least not by their real names. The Dark Web is the only place on the Internet these days where people are safe from government spying and company data mining.
The Internet is becoming increasingly controlled by governments and large companies. As this effort progresses, so does the growth of the Dark Web. The Dark Web is no different than the Surface Web apart from granting anonymity to users. There is content sharing, email and many other services that we can find on the regular, Surface Web. To access the Dark Web, Internet users pass through doorways created by tools like Darknet, I2P and TOR. These services have been set up for this purpose. And they have grown and multiplied as the Internet has become increasingly monitored and controlled by government and private entities.
The Dark Web sounds like a place where a lot of undesirables congregate. This is true because people are protected inside the Dark Web. But this haven is not only for criminal elements. Over the past few years, ordinary Internet users have come to learn about the Dark Web. Their interest springs from the desire to remain free from the spy activities that are now a regular occurrence on the Internet. And as the Dark Web grows as a place for identity thieves and credit card traders to display their wares, people can learn a lot there. They can find out how it is done and if they are on the lists of victims. This helps them learn how to prevent becoming the next targets.
The Dark Web is a great solution to online anonymity. But it isn’t for everyone. There are many sites and services that people have become accustomed to using. It is not easy to get everyone you know to switch over from Twitter, for instance, so you can stay in touch. And it isn’t necessary. A reasonable degree of anonymity on traditional Internet sites can be achieved with anonymity VPNs. They cannot stop sites from taking whatever data they can get from you. But you can control what you share about yourself. Then Anonymity VPNs take care of IP tracking and data encryption.
Anonymity VPNs, like TOR and Darknet, are based on anonymous data transmission. This allows Internet users to surf the Internet privately. Anonymity VPNs are like a cloak that shields these users as they visit websites and use services on the Surface Web. On the public Internet, Anonymity VPNs allow people to access information and share data without worrying about tracking and monitoring. Anonymity VPNs protect these users’ identities as they would be protected within the Dark Web.
